About Me

My Inspiration and Motivation

Hello my name is Terri Bailey. I was born and raised on the San Juan islands of northwest Washington I grew up with a love of the garden. 18 years ago I was at a point in my life where I felt I had to reinvent myself. I took a trip to Europe and was mesmerized by the ironwork there. So I came home and asked my father to teach me to weld. I wanted to make metal garden art. I started off making small garden stakes of fairies, flowers, birds, and dancing children. As the years went on I added arbors and trellises that resembled trailing vines and tree branches, birdbaths with clusters of metal flowers in the center, and started to incorporate fused and blown glass into my garden pieces. I have been fortunate to make this my sole source of income for all these years and I still love it. My designs are all my own and I make every piece . Just when I think I have no ideas left, up pops a giant palm tree. I try to make beautiful things that I would love to have in my own garden and I hope to make a few more people smile as they look out into theirs.
